...for I shall wait

...for I shall wait

One day the clouds will burst,
The rain will drench me till my socks,
I shall shiver, while people shall call out my name.
And yet I shall wait.

There in my hand for you is an umbrella,
You said you would be back, I cannot let you get cold,
Minutes have turned into months,
And yet I shall wait.

My feet are aching, my shoes are biting me,
The wind has beaten my face,
And yet I carry my comb and compact,
I must look good for you...for I shall wait.

Lovely... I loved the "must look good for you"... yr poem aptly brings out the feelings and desires of many a woman who wait and wait... suffering, sacrificing and yet not wanting to show anything but to be the best always. Very Powerful words :)

Oh thank you... as they said in Titanic a woman's heart is as deep as the ocean.. you never can understand how much they hold together..
